Mr Splash job reels: the full strategy, what was done at each stage, and where your ruling is needed. Internal page, not indexed. Leave a comment on any stage.
Three reels were rendered from the 2026-08-24 jobs through the approved pipeline design: flat brand fields, lower-third caption plates, canonical outro, silent output. Every mechanical gate passed (65 tests, dimensions, silence, no banned content). You rejected them on quality:
What was actually wrong, named honestly: chronological ordering (slow establishing footage first), long bottom-anchored sentences instead of a muted-legible hook, landscape sources letterboxed into a mostly empty vertical frame, and 2.6 second static holds.
The vault already held four video-craft capabilities that would have raised the bar (cinematic vertical ad craft, post-processing, real-footage gates, video scoring). None were consulted, because the session's capability gate had been legitimately bypassed for an earlier one-paragraph edit and the bypass silently persisted into the build. Classified as a reachability failure, not a missing-knowledge failure.
Before re-touching anything creative, a dated research pass (social listening plus the current platform guides) produced the craft brief. The findings that now bind every reel:
The standard you asked for now exists, is registered vault-wide, and auto-binds any future reel task on every runtime. Its four gates:
| Gate | What it forces | Status this batch |
|---|---|---|
| research-complete | A dated craft brief under 6 weeks old before any creative decision | Passed (brief 2026-08-26) |
| media-screening | Every frame screened full-res; receipts, names, faces, identifiers rejected; weak jobs get NO reel | Passed (3 bank or chat screenshots and 4 receipts rejected; Wakeley excluded entirely) |
| hook-first-render | Hook beat present, watch-sheet review, dimensions and silence verified | Passed |
| operator-approval | Nothing publishes without your per-reel approval, bound to the exact render hash | OPEN, this page |
All three reels re-rendered under the new rules. You approved these three, then ruled the bar still is not met, so the approvals are recorded but held and nothing publishes.
Two quality rejections in a row triggered the two-strike rule: no third blind attempt. Instead, the same Greystanes job cut three ways so you can lock the house style. Real-world anchor for A is the Drain Addict channel (781K subscribers, top clears over 16 million views); B is the 2026 creator grammar; C is the branded-ad look.
